So I've come to realize a few things. And because I've realized these things, I'm deleting my deviant art account.

I know I've never had any formal training in photography and have not been doing it as long as other people on this site have been doing what they do. However, I've come to realize that I do have potential to become a rather decent photographer. I don't need a website with people who sometimes really don't know what they're talking about to tell me that I have potential. This website is beginning to go against a lot of things that I believe about art. I really hate that my most viewed photos and most favorited photos, with the exception of two pictures, are pictures of me that are more appreciated for how I look and not what the picture represents. That's what a MySpace is for.

This site has just been going against so many things I believe about art and I cannot be a part of it anymore.

This probably sounds crazy, and ridiculous, and dramatic. However, when you really think about it, it isn't because some people spend so much of their time dedicated to this site.

Maybe this is coming from the small bit of confidence I'm beginning to have. I just really don't need this site anymore.
